Isaiah~

Hey y'all! This is a picture of my bible. I love to read it! Right now I am reading the book of Isaiah. It is soooo interesting! Seeing the prophecies of Jesus being told and then reading them being fulfilled is amazing! Here are a few prophecies:

Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign:
Behold, a Virgin shallconcieve,
and bear a Son,
and His name shall be Immanuel

Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born,
unto us a Son is given:
and the government shall be upon His shoulder:
and His name shall be called Wonderful,
Counseller,
The Mighty God,
The Everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace.

When you get a chance read Isaiah 11.

Thank you for reading!

  1. That look much like my daughter Nancy's Bible. Her is mauve and lavender (her favorite colors) and fits right in her handbag. She has lots of notes - especially on witnessing verses, so she can move from one to another without looking too long. She loves the Bible as much as we do! That's a huge blessing.

I believe you will find Isaiah filled with beautiful verses that will stay with you all your life. There is much there about the coming of the Messiah. Many verses in the New Testament refer back to verses here. See Isaiah 61:1-2 and compare with Luke's story of Christ:

And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. (Luke 4:17-21 KJV)
