Life Lately

Hey y'all! My gosh, so much has happened I don't know where to start. I guess this is as good as any. Mom is pregnant with another boy, due in March! Excited doesn't begin to describe my current emotions!

Hmmm.... yep... it is that time of year again. On November 2, Pumpkin came to Mom, the same day Mom had made Elderberry Syrup, telling her that her "neck" hurt. It wasn't until to days later on Wednesday when Apple came down with a pretty large fever we realized Pumpkin's neck wasn't bothering her but instead her throat.
So, for the next week, there was a lot of garlic rub and resting. Cocoa, Apple, Pumpkin, and JD were the ones who got sick and thank God Dad, Mom, Muffin, and I were able to avoid it. However, it was still unpleasant. Vomiting, fevers, soar throats, and loose stools were among the symptoms, which made JD's first sickness a miserable experience.
After a little over a week of garlic rub and Mama's Healing Stew, and a whole lot of rest....

Everybody is better!!!!!!! We are overjoyed!!!!!!!!! Look at that face and try not to smile. You can't not smile. It's impossible. I love that boy!!!!
As for everyone else, they are so happy to have a little brother, there are no words.
This picture was from last November while I was preparing a Thanksgiving day parade, as we no longer watch the Macey's Day Parade, an old tradition. (Nutcracker hats, Apple was overjoyed as she loves Nutcrackers) We weren't able to do the parade last year but we are doing one this year with all new supplies. :)
Oh my gosh.... last year, early June or July we had to sell my favorite dog whom I had trained, Asher. This beautiful sweet boy had developed aggression, after being shot with BB's from our very unpleasant neighbors. His new owners sent us tons of pictures early this year but this was my favorite. He has had a lot of health problems and to stay calm Asher has to be run a lot, but he is happy.
Speaking of puppies and dogs, we sold Abby, Fallon, and her puppies. (crying) After JD was born and had to go into NICU, any loud, unexpected sound could bother him. Hence Fallon's departure. As for Abby and her puppies, it wasn't that simple. One: both she and the puppies were getting out and Abby was leaving our property, sometimes not coming back for hours. One of the times the puppies got out, Melody got hit lightly by a car. :(. And they were all miserable tied up. Two: Our animals were being sabotaged. It was awful. So, goodbye.
So there you go, a short update. (Sort of short). lol

God bless and Merry Christmas!

~Sunshine~
